I hope you appreciate them.  As a successful Boston real estate agent, it always confused me how and why many people pick particular Boston real estate agents to offer their homes. For most of us, a real estate obtain may be the single biggest investment we will actually produce in our lives. However, when it comes time for you to capitalize on this expense several house sellers are way too relaxed and have suprisingly low criteria for the person they pick to deal with the sale of their property. I could cite many examples of poor decision making in regards to home-sellers choosing a real estate agent, but there’s an Urban Treasures condo from my knowledge that basically boggled my mind.

I acquired a call from a female about six months before who requested me to accomplish a Equivalent Industry Examination (CMA) of her Boston Condo. (I happily obliged and proved a period to meet with her and to tour her property.) The CMA method generally entails a preliminary tour of the niche home, extensive market study to make a record, and an in-depth, in-person record presentation. After meeting the client, viewing the house, performing the necessary study and delivering my report, I was particular that this person could record her property with me.

She disclosed in my experience that she’d questioned five other Boston realtors and that she was “by far” many impressed with my display and me. She offered my background selling Boston property and Boston condos, my knowledge of the Boston property industry, and my professionalism as the reason why she viewed me as probably the most qualified real estate agent to offer her home. She also disclosed if you ask me that my company charge was similar to the five other brokers she interviewed so “price” wasn’t an argument I will have to overcome.

After providing her forty-eight hours to review her options (I of course delivered her a thank you card for contemplating my services), I followed up with a call to see if she had any exceptional questions. To my surprise she explained that she’d chose to record her property with a friend, who’s also her hairdresser, and carries real estate part-time in a suburb of Boston. My preliminary shock came from the fact that she decided to number her property with an out-of-town broker, some one who’d almost no knowledge of the Boston real-estate market.

But what actually blew me out was her decision to list her home with a buddy, who not only had very little whole real-estate knowledge, but who works part-time in real-estate and had never bought a house before! Her specific phrases were: “She’s a very nice individual and I want to help her jumpstart her real estate career.” Now she had currently created her choice and the last thing I was going to do was to disqualify her buddy as a reliable realtor, so I thought her the most effective of chance and told her that I’d decide to try my better to work with her pal to offer the unit.
